Business Analyst/Technical Writer

Our client, a worldwide Insurance Company, seeks a Business Analyst who has a strong background and experience in creating functional & technical specifications as well as involvement in testing and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business systems and user needs
- Assist in aligning systems & applications to parallel overall business strategies
- Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions and the steps required to develop or modify computer programs
Requirements:
- Strong documentation & technical writing skills, from both a user and technical specification standpoint
- Experience with requirements gathering and structured analysis
- Knowledge of project management methodologies
- SQL reporting writing
- Experience participating in Quality Assurance and Testing functions
- Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of insurance industry products is a big plus
