Business Analyst/Technical Writer

Contract, full-time

Greenville, SC

Our client, a worldwide Insurance Company, seeks a Business Analyst who has a strong background and experience in creating functional & technical specifications as well as involvement in testing and quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business systems and user needs
  • Assist in aligning systems & applications to parallel overall business strategies
  • Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions and the steps required to develop or modify computer programs

Requirements:

  • Strong documentation & technical writing skills, from both a user and technical specification standpoint
  • Experience with requirements gathering and structured analysis
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • SQL reporting writing
  • Experience participating in Quality Assurance and Testing functions
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of insurance industry products is a big plus
